Development

Nidus has been developing desktop applications and data-driven web sites for our clients since 1995. We have developed applications as diverse as an energy use monitoring web site to a management system for home day care providers. Our capacity to develop is limited only by your ability to dream.

We have particular strengths in providing clients with easy-to-use, rapid-to-deploy databases developed in Microsoft Access. Such products are ideal for a small number of users located in one office. For larger applications, or for a dispersed user body, Nidus provides data driven applications for its clients. This includes development in Cold Fusion, Perl, and other CGI programming languages, to provide clients with remote access to data. Nidus uses the Fusebox Web Application Standard (see www.fusebox.org) to assure that it is able to deliver its applications quickly and efficiently.

Case Study: Nidus developed an online application to enable Erie House Day Care Homes to manage its home day care providers online. Erie House, and the day care providers it coordinates and supports, had been using entirely manual processes to submit invoices and put together reports - but they saw a better way. Nidus developed an online application that allowed the home day care providers, many of whom had never even used a computer before, to key in attendance data for their children and submit invoices electronically. That same attendance data was then available for verification at Erie House and to run month-end reports.

Design

Nidus has been developing internet presences for its clients since 1995. Our client base is an amazing array of non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and small businesses. Case Study: Nidus developed a redesigned web site for HDO Productions. Wary from past disappointments, they were delighted and thrilled with the interest we exhibited in their business (tents) as well as the rigorousness of our intention to get it right the first time. The fact that we accomplished not only the original design but were able to incorporate the modifications which resulted from their feedback...on time...left them pleasantly surprised. This was most certainly due to the simplicity of the design as well as the comprehensiveness of the discovery.
